DATA RETENTION
POLICY

Parishioners Federal Credit Union Data Retention Policy

1. Introduction: 

This Data Retention Policy outlines the procedures and guidelines for retaining and disposing of data collected and processed by Parishioners FCU (the "App"). Our goal is to ensure the secure and efficient management of data in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

2. Types of Data Collected

  • Personal Information: Includes name, email address, phone number, and other information provided during registration.

  • Usage Data: Information about how the App is accessed and used, including IP addresses, browser types, device information, and app interactions.

  • Transaction Data: Details of purchases, subscriptions, and other financial transactions.

 

3. Retention Periods

  • Personal Information: Retained for as long as the user has an active account with the App. If the account is inactive for more than 12 months, the data will be anonymized or deleted.

  • Usage Data: Retained for 24 months to analyze trends and improve the App's functionality. After this period, the data will be aggregated and anonymized.

  • Transaction Data: Retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations and auditing requirements.

 

4. Data Disposal

  • Personal Information: Upon account deletion, all personal information will be permanently erased within 30 days.

  • Usage Data: After the retention period, usage data will be anonymized and aggregated to ensure that individual users cannot be identified.

  • Transaction Data: Data will be securely deleted after the required retention period.

  • Account Deletion: To request account deletion, you can: -

    • Use the Hours and Locations | Parishioners Fcu option on our website to call or write to us.

    • Use the contact information listed on your account statements or other account materials.

    • Visit one of our branches and speak to a representative in person.

 

5. User Rights

  • Access and Correction: Users have the right to access their personal data and request corrections or updates.

  • Data Deletion: Users can request the deletion of their personal data at any time. Requests will be processed within 30 days.

  • Data Portability: Users can request a copy of their data in a commonly used electronic format.

 

6. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments.

 

7. Legal Compliance

This policy complies with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

 

8. Changes to the Policy

We may update this Data Retention Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the App or via email
